Here’s another update on the construction of our new visitor space at the estate.
With the wood substructure completed for the cross-ribbed ceiling vaults, we are now laying the bricks on top. This is an extremely strenuous and detailed job. Many bricks have to be cut to size.
And on top of that, it’s hot outside: 95° F.
The masons start very early in the morning with the first daylight to avoid the burning heat in the afternoons. Even with the challenges, they are doing a great job.
